Front facing camera issue

Recently I've noticed that as I switch to use the front facing camera, the screen is all white sonetimes. I can see the button to capture the image and the little button for the previous images but the screen is still white.

I also noticed that you can actually take photos but you just can't see of what.

Sometimes, but not always? Does it occur in Safe Mode, which disables all 3rd party apps? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-14673
