Front horizontal grip bars on replacement frame

Hey guys, I just put in a replacement screen and frame on my xt1096 and after installing it, I noticed that the replacement screen and frame (ebay) did not have the really convenient horizontal grip bars that the original one did. I looked at trying to remove them from the original to put in the replacement but they looked very attached to the frame.

Is this common with all replacement screens and I just have to deal with it? Is there a way to remove them from my old frame and install on the new one?
