sry, i just reread it...im almost 100% sure they meant to say the OG Droid, not X...there just ******ed news people that dont know the difference

it is for the OG droid. the x has no physical keyboard to hold "X" on that i know of. wait, unless i bust the phone open...

I'm going to lock this since I don't think it means the Droid X at all. No download link for one thing and I haven't heard ANYTHING about this at all.

For example, here's an excerpt from the article...

"To manually install Android 2.2 on your Motorola Droid X all you have to do is to download Android 2.2 file either from Mega upload or Google official. Place the downloadable file on the root of the sdcard. Make sure you do not end up keeping the file in any other folder.

Switch off the phone, hold power+X button to boot into recovery. As the exclamation point occur release power and X. With your D-Pad, navigate to “apply update.zip“, and hit the gold button to execute the command. Let the update install, and reboot."
