Browser hang ups?

Cognition Froyo on my phone is fast, but I've noticed that the browser can have really bad lag on some larger web sites, like huffingtonpost.com. It seems to almost act glitchy, when trying to scroll up and down the page and that is with the flash turned off in settings. With flash on, the website is almost un-scrollable. Anyone else experience the same thing? I though Froyo was specifically supposed to make web browsing faster?

Someone said that the Android keyboard is missing. I came across this in the xda forums. Maybe it will help those looking to put it back on. I don't think the link is in the right format to use. Like the person says in the thread maybe someone can make it live.

The other issue is that I lost the Android Keyboard and it was killing me as I hate the Samsung and Swype KB's. Luckily with the search function I was able to find the Android Froyo KB .apk and I put it on the phone using the Sideload Wonder Machine. Here is a link to the .apk | Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire k9hiq8xg4fcl8ie (you know where the dots go) If anyone knows how to
Ok don't know if this is right LatinIME.apk shows latin apk. Since I'm new to this stuff I hope this is right.
hey im trying to download the keyboard and im having alot of trouble i have the sideloader downloaded and the file downloaded and it gives me an error the error is saying that it cannot find the path after i select the file is there anything im doin wrong?

I have an issue with the Froyo update and want to know if anyone has a solution. The issue is that there are missing Apps from the Market Place. The first one that I found missing was the PayPal app, which I used very often. After searching around, I found that there are many others. Anyone know of a solution for this?

Has anyone been able to install? I downloaded the ODIN software from the XDA thread but it always errors when I try to download with the phone in download mode...

Don't forget, it is a leaked version of Froyo...not official release.
There are some lag problems and glitches even with Ryans OCLF and all.

hate to ask a dumb question but, does loading 2.2 void my warranty?

i rather not do anything like root that would take my warranty away.

Cog 5.5

Hey topshelf ... I think you should try the latest cog version 5.5 ... I think on his page it shows that a fix was done for the browsing ... mine seems ok ... what is weird now is that you can actually play youtube videos in the browser itself ....

Here is a post of mine that I copied:

Anyone not liking the at&t update for a variety of reasons should check this out ... (for one, GPS lock in 4 seconds) ... and a TON of other things:

Wiki:
FAQ - Cognition Wiki

Site:
Download Cognition!

I really do recommend reading as much you can on the Wiki to make sure you know what will happen and how you should do it ... and know that you do it at your own risk (e.g. MASTER CLEAR WILL CLEAR ALL YOUR DATA -- so back up FIRST!)

Anyways, super pumped.

I use this leaked version and my only complaint is how SLOW the BROWSER is!

Anyone with a fix for this, it's painfully wanting me to smash my phone sometimes. lol

I did notice before I did the "leaked" version I really didnt have any problems, is it too late to go back? :/

So where the hell is Froyo for our phones? Yet again they promised NOVEMBER we will all have it...this is getting a little annoying now....

Agreed. I'm a patient person when it comes to these things but this is getting rediculous. We are headed into the holidays now and I doubt this is going to get much traction with the rush to get phones out the door.

The phone has been out for months, Froyo has been out for over a month (or is it two now?) and in the hands of AT&T. There is a dodgy driver from either AT&T or Samsung for the GPS and all we have gotten are two lame updates to try and fix that issue. Gingerbread is almost upon us and I doubt very much that we'll ever see it from AT&T.

I love this phone, but I feel like I am getting short changed between the lack of interest on AT&Ts side post purchase and the dearth of ROMs compared to HTC or Motorola handsets. I doubt that I will be buying another Samsung in the future, which is a drag because they make pretty good hardware in my opinion.

My plan is to wait until my Christmas vacation mid December. If there is no AT&T update by then I'm going to hack Cognition onto it unless Cyanogen is ready. Warranty be damned. It can always be reverted to stock if it needs to be returned.

Will you do my phone? lol
