Froyo being pushed to some Droids?

It looks like some lucky Droid owners are getting 2.2 pushed to them!

Anyone seeing this? And in order to get it pushed to you, doesn't that mean Verizon has approved it? Something is going on if this is indeed true.

That's different. That's the leaked root version. What is apparently being pushed out is an official version.

The same thing happened a couple days ago before the FRF84B got leaked from Motorola.

This is quite interesting. I would love to see a link or maybe some pictures of the OTA update screen. I know we will never be able to find out what determines someone getting a test release (Its most likely stored in a database of Verizon employees numbers and their corresponding MEID). I guess we will find out in a couple of days. Until then long live CM6.

Ive been debating on rooting for quite some time but I just never seem to get around to it. I was ready to bite the bullet and then I started hearing rumors of Froyo coming sooner this month than expected so I think I will still wait a bit and see what happens.

I'm starting to think this may not be as true as we would all hope. I mean, Droidforums.com seems to be the only site picking up on these mysterious OTAs. Surely we would have heard some more news if 2.2 was being pushed out to Droids, right?

This happened quite often during the runup to the 2.1 update....However, they turned out to be fake so I will believe it when I have it running on my droid.

Really? Well that stinks. I got my Droid the day before 2.1 came out, coincidentally!

and the craziness continues.. 2.2 will come to our beloved moto droids soon enough...but yet not soon enough for me..LOL
