Froyo For Droid X

can someone elaborate on this:

"Place the file you have downloaded on the root of your sdcard."

What is the "root" of the sdcard?

Root of a folder is the very top level.

So, when you mount your card and you are viewing all the folders? just copy it there.

root of your main disk drive on your PC is C:\

root is the top level of the drive. Hope this makes sense.

yup...it does. I was looking for a "root" flolder.

Getting 1475 on Quadrant.. which is higher than the N1 on 2.2 is getting.. :D

It's a leaked development build. Not official, not a mod and does not require root.

If i install this and the official. Update comes out will it install over this or do i need to get back to stock.also how would i get back would i just do a full wipe.

hmm.. i see.. i guess ill wait since its still a dev build

I've been running it for awhile now and I've not noticed any issues.

Flash in the web browser is the single handed best feature. It basically opens the whole internet experience up on your phone.

Apple is DUMB for not implementing this on the iPhone.

I went to Gametrailers.com and you can basically watch videos int the browser as you read comments.. or pressing on the video and clicking the expand button goes to full screen. FTMFW.

I jumped and just updated and hope all stays well but I must be truthful and do not think the volume is much louder at all. If it is then it is very little. I am hoping this is not the official then and that the official still brings louder volume.

Just something to think about, maybe take it with a grain of salt maybe not.

When a leak version of froyo came out for my evo, the .3 build, everyone including me was quick too update thinking we could also receive the OTA when it was pushed out by sprint.

BUT WE COULD NOT GET THE OFFICIAL OTA FROYO, the .6 build, because we had updated a leaked version.

Us early adopters had to wait another week or so for us too get the real deal and who knows if verison will be as nice as sprint and catch everyone up.

I'm not trying to talk anyone into, or out of anything. Im simply providing information.

Have fun with froyo DX users!

Flash works very well.

I read somewhere on DroidForums that we'll still be able to get the OTA. But even if we can't, we can always SBF back to 2.1 and then do the OTA update.
