Froyo leaked for the Incredible

Is anyone else experiencing these two issues that I am having.

1. Titanium keeps asking for su permission even though i tell it to remember. ( Saw this mentioned elsewhere but didn't see any follow up to the question)

2. any charging (wall, cig lighter, usb charge only) takes control of the sd card and I cannot run apps that require the sd card. Google Listen will stop and say SD card not installed.

Thanks

try running these updates I know it will fix your SU permissions

[PATCH] Bug fixes > Froyo V5 *7/27 leak* (Fix: Browser, Gmail, Market, Stream Audio) - xda-developers

All these leaks are buggy. I want to think of reasons to keep root. Yet
-I love sense
-I don't need to run any roms
-They added a new flashlight (don't need root anymore)
-You can edit some info with your phone and use the hotspot app for free (don't need root or the wifi tether app)
-I don't really need to take screen shots
Only real reason to root would be to add or remove system apps. However I figure, do I really need some butchered Leak Rom that someone gives me without the radio. Or would an official (with radio and no bugs) be better.

Tough call really.:p

I have had some of those thoughts too, but I'm pretty sure I will keep root for now. We have to wait and see what the official 2.2 will looks like on the Inc.

My only reason to keep root is CyangenMod ROM's which should be pretty stable in the future or at least I hope they will. The only downside of that is losing Sense.

Either wasy this phone is still mile ahead of my old BB ;)

True, I really liked Cyanogen on the Droid Larry but when I have loaded it on the incredible it is just outclassed by sense. ;)

Sorry for being such a noob, but I am following the directions for this, and I am at the step installing clockworkmod, how long should that take to flash the recovery image? It has been on that screen in unrevoked3 for about 20 minutes, is this normal?

Thanks in advance!

Its shouldn't take that long you need to make sure you have the correct drivers and you do not have HTC sync installed on you computer.

Takes no more than 2 minutes. Make sure you do not have HTC sync ot Double Twist installed.

So I loaded the latest leak but its missing all the wallpapers, ringtones and notification tones. Is there a fix for this? If not should I try skyraider 2.0.1? How's that build?

If you go on the first post of the leak thread over at XDA, there's a full zip posted with all the apps, ringtones, wallpapers, etc. I believe it's the second link in the post.

here's the thread, check the first post

Latest OTA Leak (8/1/2010) - xda-developers

Did you load the second one? The one that ends in I6E? That is the full version. I will say that app brain lost my apps when I loaded this. Not sure what I did wrong. So do a Titanium app+app data backup before you load the ROM.

PS, I loaded it today myself and it seems to work flawlessly. I had audio problems calling Sears Auto Center, but for now I'm blaming their phone system. I'll check tonight with some regular calls.

Just loaded the other one. Thanks. How difficult do you think it will be to upgrade to the OTA once it comes out?

I'm fairly certain that you would have to downgrade back to 2.1, then install the official 2.2 update. There is no telling when they will have root for 2.2, though. I'm not sure I'll need the "official" one since this one seems to work nicely.

I hope that a downgrade first is not necessary. I tried to downgrade back to stock 2.1 and couldn't.

It will be in order to get the official unroot OTA. You can always wait for the Root OTA rom like most will.

Well I don't know what to do then. When I try to push the files to downgrade my radio to my phone my computer don't detect my device. I've tried multiple tutorials but still no luck.
