Froyo Messaging/Contacts issue.

Let me start off by saying I'm stock and did the windows manual update to 2.2 last night.

First thing I did was get gmail account added (did this through the youtube app). Synced those contacts fine. Then I added my facebook account (through the phone) and tried to sync contacts. Nothing came in. Then I logged into fb via the browser, where there it prompted me to sync contacts (which it did and worked). Now I have all my contacts, but if I look under my accounts I have two identical fb accounts (only a slight difference in icon style).

Problem 1: In the stock messaging app, NO contact pictures show up. I remedied this by getting GoSMS. Now I'm back to a dark style list message app and can see contact pictures.

Problem 2: In stock messaging/GoSMS some numbers do not show contact name and picture, just a phone number

ie: 12223334444 shows up instead of John Doe

Now if I tap the number it takes me directly to John Doe's contact. I do notice there is a "+" out in front of the fb contact's numbers. I do not know if that is the issue, but there is no way to edit SNS contacts.


Problem 3: I just composed a new message coming out of the contacts>message and once in GoSMS it still does not display contact name/pic, only shows a phone number.



This is really stupid. When I got the phone a month ago (on 2.1) everything synced fine and EVERY picture and name showed up in the stock message app. I have ZERO issues with 2.2 besides these messaging/contact problems

so it seems that if I make a matching gmail contact for the fb contacts and link them, pictures and names show up.


there are still like 4 people who have both accounts linked, who show a picture in contacts, but not in the GoSMS.
