Frozen MMS downloads?

Running Eclair on the Moment,
using Handcent and stock Messaging App,
i constantly have any type of MMS stuck in the "downloading" status for the past several weeks.

is this a common bug with Sprint, with the Moment, or what?
at first i assumed it was Handcent, but the MMS is also frozen 'downloading' in the stock Messaging App on the phone as well.

ideas? suggestions?
it's kind of frustrating to have to log into mysprintmedia site online and see what was sent.

Update: Handcent has since released an updated version to fix this problem.
