Frozen phone

My phone (samsung galaxy s7 edge) has been frozen for over 4 hours now and I have tried everything to reboot it, pressing all kinds of combinations with the power button, up/down button and the home button. However my phone hasn't restarted. The blue light, and the two screen buttons are turned on. Can I restart my phone without using the buttons?

When you press (and hold) the power and Home button for at least 10 seconds, does the device reboot? Do you see anything on the screen (flicker, lines, etc.)? If the phone seems to be working but the screen is off, then it might be the screen that went kaput. Unfortunately, the S7 line didn't include MHL hardware so connecting it to a TV via HDMI is not an option. You can try connecting it via USB to a computer and see if it recognizes it, but most likely, it'll need your phone to be unlocked before letting you access any data.

No matter how I press the buttons the phone doesn't reboot. I've tried every kind og combination and held them all for at least 30 seconds.

Does it show anything on the screen when you connect it to power? Does it vibrate? What happens if you connect it to a computer?
If the phone seems to accept charge, then I'd say just let it 'die' and then try re-charging.

Nothing at all happens with any of these things, there is just no change, it's completely frozen.

Not going to sugar coat it since this doesn't look good, but I'd say let it run out of battery on its own and then try to charge it. If that doesn't help, it's time to get it to a repair center. :(

Just to confirm, it doesn't vibrate or make a sound with any action, correct?

Well damn it, no it doesn't make any sound or vibration. Well, at least it does still have a varancy and nothing has happened to it. Thank you very much
