Frustrated with Broken Screen on Moto X

My coworker has a Droid Turbo and the screen broke very easily. She dropped her purse about a foot with her phone in it. The screen did not crack but got the "spilled ink" effect. Motorola did replace the phone for her though.

I'm on my 3rd Moto X 2014 edition, all three the screens cracked. The last one was 4 days after I received the insurance replacement, with a case and a screen protector...about a foot and half drop (was sitting at a game, took a picture and was putting back in pocket when it slipped and fell to floor). This is the only phone I've ever owned that has cracked and I've dropped all of them at one time or another...seems like the X is very fragile...need a new option.
