Frustrated with the Droid

Isn't switching from a Droid to a Storm 2 like switching from a Lexus to a Yugo? :D

If you're contacts are sync'd with your gmail you shouldn't have a problem. I'm pretty sure it's not a device or OS problem though.

The only time I have lost any information from my contacts is when someone pulled their info from Facebook. A friend took her mobile number off FB when I told her it was there for anyone to see, and it disappeared from my contact info for her. When I added it manually, it stayed there. i have never had any real problems with my contacts.

I had a problem when Verizon first swapped my info over from my BB Storm to my Droid. I didn't have a gmail account at the time. I was synced with yahoo. I set-up my gmail and manually edit my contacts on my laptop and haven't had a problem since then. I suggest you go on your contacts on your gmail on a computer to make sure they are right then it will be right on your phone. Make sure you make it as complete as you can that way you will have all your info backed up online just in case you are having a problem with your phone.

Yeah, I'd kindly suggest that the Droid doesn't just lose contacts. I've had some that I thought were MIA, but after much hide and seek, found them. If you sync to Gmail, you've opened up some possibles there. Otherwise, usual suspects are that a new contact is in a unfiled category, which isn't set to view, or the name is in company name or last name or first name and so doesn't display where you expect it to.

I've never had a problem with contacts. My only problem has been trying to answer the phone and it freezes. But I deleted some apps and it seems to be doing good now.
