Hello guys, as the title says, I am a future Android user! To give some of a background about me, I was given a hand-me-down 2nd generation iPod Touch when one of my sisters upgraded to an unlocked iPhone 4S. Since then, I was looking for something with a larger screen and more usability. This drew me to Android devices. For one, most of these devices are cheaper than that Apple stuff. Now, don't get me wrong, I like Apple computers and their products, but all of their products are so expensive. Right now, I am selling some of my hobby-grade RC equipment to fund the purchase of my next device, whatever it might be. I am looking for a used Google Nexus 7 or some other unlocked smartphone for around $200. So if anyone has any recommendations or comments, post them up!

Why get a used smart phone when you can grab your self a new Nexus 4, for 200 USD?

200$? I'd say go to Tmo & get the N4 on contract.
If you can double it, get it from the Play Store.

Well people, I just bought an LG Nexus 4 16GB of evilbay. I hope to be receiving it in 4-5 days.

Welcome to AC, and congratulations on switching to the good side haha. Based on what you mentioned that you wanted in your original post, I think you'll really enjoy having an Android phone. Have fun with it! :D

I will! I think this device will be a huge upgrade over my 2nd gen iPod Touch. I can't wait to get it!

If you're indeed coming from a second-gen iPod Touch, you're in for quite a pleasant surprise when you get the Nexus 4. I came from a Galaxy Nexus and was still impressed. Be sure to make your way over to the Nexus 4 forum when you get it!

Welcome to Android. ;)

Thanks for all the kind replies everybody. I just got the Mybat Tuff case in the mail. This is a 3 piece case with a soft silicone inner layer and a hardshell on the outside. Here are a few pictures.

I will make sure to give you an update when I receive the actual device.

The Nexus 4 arrived today. So far, the switch from iOS to Android has been very smooth. I put a case on it the moment it came out of the box. I will post pictures later.

I hope you like android :-)

Right now I run offroad. I have a HPI Blitz with a 10.5 turn brushless motor, a Brush less Hobbies 120A ESC, and a Solar D770 low profile servo.

I am really enjoying Android right now. This Nexus 4 is really a big upgrade from a 2nd generation iPod Touch.

That's a nice car! I fly RC planes and heli's but my sister has a car that I like to play with :-)

Back to Android, I came from the same iPod to my Nexus 7 and felt the same way :-)
