Fuzzy Screen. Help.

I just got a galaxy s5 active two days ago. Everything was great up until today literally mid use the screen got a few green lines, so I turned it off and when it came back on it was just the white fuzzy screen. I have researched as much as I have been able to find and tried every trick in the book numerous times and I can't get it to work. Is there anyone that would be able to get me some type of advice? I cannot switch back to my old phone since AT&T closed early today and I wasn't aware and tommorow just happens to be Memorial Day. Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! Does this persist in Safe Mode? If so, it's probably a hardware defect. Can you bring it back to wherever you got it for an exchange?

I think so. I tried starting and holding the 3 buttons and I could not get it to go back to the regular screen. I tried taking the battery out for extended period and draining the power button but no luck. And even trying to locate the connector and apply pressure to lock it back in. I should be able to , it was bought off of a verified dealer on eBay refurbished. I guess that's the first mistake.

But did you boot into Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28456 That's different from Recovery Mode--it disables all 3rd party apps, in case something you installed is causing issues. But it's most likely a hardware problem.
