So, Asurion is reaching out to you and you chose not to accept? Seriously, what's the point of creating this thread if you ultimately don't want a resolution?

Didn't have the money then. Now I do, and now it is too late.

Ah.

The best advice I can give is to always read the terms and conditions of anything you sign.. That way no more surprises next time something like this happens :).

Well it does bring up a valid point for those who didn't know about the 60 day policy.

Nope, not going to. I already decided to get a new phone, and I am not the primary account holder so I probably couldn't do anything anyways. So that is that. I guest it is my fault but I honestly didn't know there was a time limit, guess I'll just keep it moving.

Asurion is offering to see if there's a way they can help despite what you've described your situation to be...yet you don't want their help.

Yes. All the blame is on you here.

Hard to imagine why OP doesn't contact Asurion to see what they can do to help. They are obviously prepared to provide other options or they wouldn't take the time to post here. At a minimum, the thread title should be changed because it's clear at this point that no one got screwed.

*sigh* the only thing they can do at the most is get me another RAZR M or a Moto X but I don't want either of those now, but the point was that there is a time limit to how long you have to report an accident to your phone, which I was previously unaware of.

So now they are willing to get you the phone you originally had or the phone your using now and you still don't want it. Sorry asurion is going above and beyond, I don't think anything was going to make you happy, but you definitely did not get screwed, if anything your screwing yourself.

It doesn't matter if you still want either phone now or not, they are going to replace what you have, everyone knows that. Hats off to asurion for trying to help you.

There's a successor to the DROID RAZR M called the DROID MINI.

For clarification for everyone who is now attacking me for no absolute reason. This thread was about how Asurion has a time limit for claims that I don't think is widely known.

Not about me being stupid or what have you, this is purely about how I got screwed over because of the time limit. .

Nothing more nothing less, I think everyone here can chill out. I'm chill and I am the one with the messed up phone.

Anyways, nothing to see here.

Although I appreciate you bringing the 60 day policy to light, if anything this is an example of good customer service - they are willing to give you a Moto X replacement after 5 months when they are only required to do so after 60 days.

I really don't see how you got screwed over.
