G mail issue.

Since Android 10 update I cannot re direct from emails. Such as a survey, unsubscribe, edit payment info, etc. Is there a setting in G mail or what. It worked before and it still works in my yahoo account.?????

Try clearing cache,data,force stop gmail

Go to your Gmail app's settings, tap General Settings, and see what happens if you uncheck "Open Web Links in Gmail."

Tried / no success. Either one and I found in play store reviews I'm not alone & google is a skeleton crew. Oh well I'll keep at it. Thank you much.

You using gmail app or Samsung email to access it ?

I'm using the actual G mail app.

Make sure Android System Webview is up to date. If it already is, you can also try temporarily uninstalling all updates to ASW, since sometimes an update can introduce some bugginess on certain devices only.

Ok just making sure sometimes you say something and people do 1 out of them lol

Well the ASW it tried to operate. But instead of just going android central from the link in the email it brought up Samsung or android central. once or always. It almost went but not. Makes me think chrome isn't co operating.

Well tried G mail on a different device . The links operated correctly. Note9 problem only. Today I've got gravel coming for driveway. Will be outside ,work on this later . Thanks again.

Try in settings>apps>tap 3 dots upper right corner>reset app preference

Can you clarify -- do you mean you uninstalled updates to Android System Webview?

All right Mr.mustang settings apps preferences re set did it. Now it's not going directly , but chrome pops up at bottom and heads to link. I'll try more later and give more feed back. Thank you very much gentle men . I'm almost 70 . I appreciate your patience and your help. Bildriver.
