G Pad 8.3 vs Nexus 10

You can play Monopoly on the G Pad! That's reason to celebrate right there. ...if you're an old fart like me.

Psh, even the old farts around me don't want to play Monopoly with me. So my face will be glued to my G Pad playing!

It's been really nice. I've been able to just use the G Pad, no dealing with any issues or poor performance. It's a really nice piece of kit.

It's clear you really don't want to buy a year old tablet (Nexus 10), you are just not sure about the LG.

I say get the LG, over all it is a great tablet and I couldn't be happier with it. And if you want something close to a Nexus just get the GP e. I myself like most of the things LG has added with it's software, but different strokes for different folks.

Crazy not to go with the LG. Faster, costs less, better viewing angles and Expandable storage. Let's not forget the Nexus 10 will be last year's version very soon.

I have no buyers remorse at all, I actually sold my beloved nexus 7 2013 due to no longer touching it, I'm riding the CM11 train right now and loving it, I'm even considering selling my iPad mini with retina due to very little use, the G Pad travels everywhere with me

I have both, the g pad is a great bit of kit but is a nexus 7 alternative. I use it on the move but go back to the 10 when I'm at home. They are not really comparable.

But I do agree with the buying a year old tablet.

Just wondering thoughts about this now with lollipop on the N10? I have the opportunity to buy either for $150. Which would you guys suggest. I notice how slow the OG N7 32GB is on 5.1 and wonder if it might be the same for the N10. Please, let me know;)

I have a N10 32GB and my wife has the LTE G-Pad 8.3. Both bone stock. I have to say I personally like the larger screen size, extra pixels, POGO pins and nice front facing stereo speakers on the N10. And the extra internal storage (I have the 32GB version). But the LG definitely feels a little snappier in daily usage and has a much nicer panel. microSD slot is nice but I'd rather have a 32GB G-Pad. LG definitely has better cameras, if you even care about such a thing on a tablet. For $150 I'd probably lean more towards the N10 personally just because it's a Nexus but it really boils down to personal preference.

Storage is the deal breaker for me. 16gb is just not enough, especially after all the crapware is loaded on. 32gb is the minimum I will settle for on a tablet. Plus the screen on the Nexus 10 is wonderful, just wonderful.
