Hello,

I'm considering purchasing a new bluetooth headset for use with my Verizon G2. I am considering either the Plantronics Voyager Legend or the Motorola Whisper.
Has anyone used either with their G2? I am most concerned about phone audio quality, no so much how well music sounds. I have an H19txt now and callers tell me my voice has a "digitized" sound to it. The problem goes away when I do not use the bluetooth. I've tried the typical things of resetting the headset and repairing to the phone.
I also used the H19txt with my prior phone, Droid RAZR Maxx HD and it did not have that "digitized" sound to it.

Thanks in advance.

I currently have the Motorola Elite Flip and I love it. I have probably owned a BT device from every OEM you can think of and I really like the quality both build and performance of Motorola's products. Just by reading over the specs of each device I would definitely go with the Whisper. You have actually made me consider getting one myself. If you end up purchasing it please come back and let me know how you like it.

I use the Plantronics Voyager Legend and Voyager Pro HD. The Pro HD stays in my backpack the Legend stays in my car. I couldn't be more satisfied with Plantronics' audio quality and battery life. While, no, I'm not using either with a G2, I can say the multiple phones I've used both with have all had the same great result.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to be passing through a town with a BestBuy this weekend so I may pickup one of these if they have them in stock and will report back my findings.

Cool! Good luck, have phun (sic) shopping!

Just a quick update. I decided to give the Plantronics Voyager Legend a try. Got it home and updated the firmware on it and paired to my phone. So far so good. There was a wideband voice setting in the software which I turned on as well. A little off topic, but has anyone noticed that the wifi or signal bars do not turn gray anymore when you are not connected to google services? I was at a place where the wifi was on, but someone had unplugged the WAN connection and my Nexus 7 showed gray bars instead of the normal blue and of course I had no internet, but the G2 bars remained the same blueish color. I hope LG fixes that as it's nice to know if your connection is working as it should.
