G3 signal strength

Has this issue been resolved on the G3? AT$T version.

I'm in UK on O2, 5 bars. And 51 Mbs speed 4G. No probs here.

I got my G3 today, I'm not in UK but also experienced the low signal issue, having 2-3 bars on my entire apartment, upgraded from an Optimus G, and signal from it never goes down from full. Did a little experiment, tried changing Network Mode on settings, it was on GSM / HSPA /LTE auto by default, i switched it to GSM / HSPA auto. Instantly after doing that, My G3's signal improved. From 2-3 bars to FULL. I don't know why signal is low if the default network mode (GSM / HSPA /LTE auto) is chosen, hope LG does something about it whenever a firmware update comes.

^^^That is interesting. I'm a UK user, unlocked. My options are GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto....GSM/WCDMA auto.....WCDMA only. Switching did not seem to make any difference to my signal bar indication, which was fluctuating between 4-5 bars, but I've done the experiment in one place and time only. I doubt that it's relevant to UK users because the first option is the only setting worth using here so far as I can see. But your tip may well be helpful to users elsewhere who have signal problems.
