Just curious..... How is the signal strength on this phone compared to other top tier phones? Especially in rural areas. I have a htc one m8 and this things signal is so erratic. Looking for a change. Anyone?

Signal strength depends on what carrier and were you are. For myself I work in NYC at Grand Central Terminal. I have VZW, where my office is I am jumping between 1x and 4G. I am surrounded by concrete and steel. When I am at home I get 2-3 bars of that good 4G service.

When I first started at my Job AT&T was great then it sucked, then Verizon was better, Now Verzion is so So and AT&T is better, It goes back and forth.

I am going to stay with VZW because I have my UDP.

I got the G3 the end of last month I came from the HTC one M7. So far so good

I am on verizon, the m8 fluctuates terribly even in a good coverage area. So would you say in your instance the G3 was better than the m7 reception wise?

I tihnk so.. I had an issue with the M7 making phone calls people couldn't hear me

The AT&T G3 has a very weak radio compared to other variants. Known issue and no fix.

I'm on Verizon and it completely blows away the signal I got on my note 3.

Side by side on my desk a VZW Droid Maxx and an LG G3 are showing the exact same signal strength (dbs) on both Open Signal and LTE Discovery apps.

Sprint G3....i more or less have good service where ever i go (i live in New York City).....data is good and call quality is good as well

^^^Don't the tall buildings cause signal problems? (Not that I'm suggesting that New York City is the ONLY city with tall buildings, you understand.)

I think the M8 is pretty weak on reception. I went from a G2 to the M8 and I ended up returning the M8 due to the bad reception. I'm on Verizon also.

My G3 blows away my old iphone 5 in a poor signal area..vzw

Same here. My G3 has way better reception than my note 3 in my area.
