G7 smart lock

I've had this device for a couple days now, and I'm having a problem with the smart lock and my trusted place (home.) I know that after 4 hours idle, you have to enter your fingerprint/pin to unlock the phone. The problem I'm having that after I do that, it's making me do it again every time the phone locks. The only way I seem to be able to have the phone use my trusted place again is to restart the phone.

Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a solution? Thank you.

I've been using it for years and it has always been hot or miss.
