I'm so happy to see we're getting LTE in BFE, how about giving us who live in populated areas some coverage sprint! Lol, living in southern California has its perks, but sprints LTE is not one of them!

I am starting to get a few whiffs of LTE in a places that I had not before.
The coverage is slowly building in the ATL. :)

Here's what I've observed so far about LTE on the EVO. I find no discernable difference in battery life with LTE on or off. Apparently the device polls for LTE infrequently to conserve its incredibly long battery life. In my experience it seems to be at least 5 minute intervals. I can travel to a known strong LTE area and sometimes wait at least that long for LTE to finally turn on.

If I have a strong WiFi signal I usually, but not always, have to turn WiFi off to get LTE to turn on.

In a known LTE area, I can always get LTE to turn on quickly by toggling either LTE CDMA/CDMA or Airplane mode.

What is your experience?
