galaxy 5 don't anymore transfer files to or from phome or pc

When I connect my charge cable to my phone and my pc my phone shows its charging but when I swipe down to see whats out standing there,is no USB to use to select tranfer files Does anybody know how to get this USB to show thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Which Galaxy phone, the S5 or Note5? Are you using the phone's original USB cable? Try a different cable, since cables can fail unexpectedly. Also, certain USB cables that come with devices are intended for charging only, not data transfer.
