S Spagman72 Active member Dec 23, 2011 44 0 0 Nov 13, 2015 #2 When a phone shuts down during normal operation it's always a hardware failure. You can try a new battery first. If that's not the issue the next common problems are a dead emmc memory chip or the power IC. Upvote 0 Downvote
