I got two sets of white Galaxy Buds yesterday - I have a s10 and a s10+. I don't like in ear headphones so am wondering if it is worth keeping them. I am thinking of putting them in at auction. Hope to get £40 each for them but if they sound naff then maybe not.

If you don't like them why would you keep them. Sell them and use the money for something you do like. Why even ask. Why keep something you don't like.

Personally I like mine. Have no issues.

If you don't want them, sell them. Why keep something you don't like? I am really impressed with mine. I actually use them all the time for phone calls, Audible, music and podcasts. The connect immediately and are really convenient to carry with me.

All that said, if I didn't like the way they felt I wouldn't use them.

I got my free set the other day. Not impressed. Slightly above average sound. I think I'll stick with wired headphones.

I always used over ear because in ear bothered me but I tried the buds. I was surprised how comfortable they are in the ear and stay in play very well.. I agree to get rid of if you don't think you will like but at least in my case the in ear feel changed my opinion.

How are they with phone calls? Others hear you well?

I've used them for about a week every day for phone calls and no complaints at all. I switch from the handset to the buds mid call about half the time and nobody has noticed.

I've asked a couple people if I sounded ok and they assumed I was just using the phone. No issues at all in the week or so that I've had them.

Yeah, you're not using these for the sound quality. If they are not any more convenient for you than wired then I'd just use the wired as well.

For me, the sound is good for what they are. Not quite as good as my Jabra's but good for wireless buds. It's still more about the convenience than anything though.

I like mine better than the wired ones that come with the phone. No complaints. I would have preferred black, but free is better.

What's that saying. Fool me once...

I made that mistake with the IconX that I got free with the Note 9.

I'm getting the Buds free because the 512GB Ceramic White is delayed.

Hopefully, I can sell it for $150 CAN.

I was thinking if maybe keeping them for a spare set of headphones but I have a few Beats headphones lying around. I'll put them into auction next week.

Beats are crap if you want to use them with a smart watch

Least buds you can control by tapping on beats you have to pick up your phone to adjust music which kind of goes against the point of wireless headphones

I have the PowerBeats3 "wireless" and the Galaxy buds sound just as good if not a little better. Again though, if you want the best sound quality you shouldn't be using wireless headphones.

I would take the Galaxy buds over the Beats though every day of the week.

The beats I have are the studio 2 wireless and I can control playback from them just fine.

I have some studio beats 2.0 which sound better wirelessly than they do wired up. The built-in amp seems to do better than the on board amp in the phone. But that is just my preference.

Comparing apples to oranges. Can't see how you can get as things as sound quality from in ears compared to over the ear phones. Anyway getting way off topic here.

It depends on your use cases. I keep them at the office. They are useful when I have to make a call with my phone as it helps not having to hold the phone up to your ear. Also I used them when I took the train in to Boston for a conference. I could listen to a podcast and the case is small and light weight so easy to carry around.

I don't go on the train very much and I don't have a while lot of calls from my phone from work so I wouldn't buy them if they weren't free.

You can't control volume on them so you have to use your phone.

Yes, you can. The left hand speaker cover has three discreet buttons. One for volume up. One for volume down and the third one to pause and to move tracks along backwards or forwards. You must be thinking of some other headphones.
