Galaxy Gear Fit reboot loop

Tried a couple of things that didn't work. What did work for me was:

Hold down the button for ~60 seconds to shut it off
Try to turn it on by pressing the button, it only vibrates
After sitting for several minutes press the button again
A message pops up saying low battery
Dismiss the message
A message pops up about connecting to the phone
Connect it and it's fixed (everything deleted though)

I solved the problem as follows:
- when rebooting appears press 5 times the on button.
- when the continue/download appears chose continue. Hold the on button till the gear fibrites twice. then relase the button
- When downloading appears on your screen. You have chosen the wrong option (continue/download).
- Keep trying.

Did that and now GF won't turn on at all. Hope it is just dead battery. Will charge and try again.

this actually worked! I've been messing with my Gear Fit for a few weeks, and it still kept rebooting. It's finally on now. Thank you!

Well I think this finally worked😕

there is a reset button on the back of the Samsung Gear Fit watch. Hold that down and it resets the watch.........Really. It is that easy.

My phone is Downloading. I hope this works. If so many of us are having this problem, Samsung should fix it.

Ok, so this boot loop started happening to me and like almost everyone else on here none of the simple fixes worked. But then I tried the Odin fix. So I download Odin 3.09, and im learning to use it and I download the dropbox files and I figured out i needed a .rar reader. So I download that next. I plug in the BL, CP, and CSC and make sure my watch is plugged in and on that download menu that you have to click 5 times for. I see something new on my watch! A progress BAR!!!! I'm stoked at this point, and I am glad something other than that stupid boot is happening. But... no progress is actually happening. Then, like a good boy I read the rest of the posts and one says that they tried Odin V3.10.6 so I gave that a shot. Plugged in the BL, CP, and CSC and BOOM!!! Just like turning it on for the first time.

So in good conscience I couldn't just let the fit community dealing with this issue be confused by the whole Odin thing. Just stay persistant and make an andriod central account and hit me up for help.

My good deed for the day has been done.

My Gear Fit kept rebooting. Entering the menu with 5 clicks on appearance of the Samsung logo didn't solve it.

I got it going by connecting the watch to a pc-usb port. Booting finished properly and I could re-establish a blue tooth connection with my Galaxy S4 phone I re-installed several settings.using the mobile phone and blue tooth. The connected pc played a passive role, It doesn't have Gear fit software installed.

I had the same issue with the reboot loop after having my GearFit working fine for quite some time.. I can't even remember when exactly I bought it but it was when they first came out...anyhow... I tried the different things mentioned on this page and it did not work. I even when on chat live with Samsung who said they would have to start a repair ticket on it.... I did not want to mail it in so I went to youtube one last time and found this video which worked for me.....https://youtu.be/VbEMLS6ouLg.... basically you look on the back of the device under where the charger connects and there is a small circle...use a pin and pry off the cover, push the pin in and hold the power button and you have just reset the darn thing!!! I told samsung about it and they claim it was resolved by the uninstall and reinstall on the phone which is not what resolved the issue....it was pushing the reset on the back of the devise... they chalk it up to miscommunications!!! :-X

After many attempts to resolve the rebooting loop by holding the power button for different durations, and different numbers of times, I finally resolved it by having Gear Fit Manager actively searching for the device. While this was occurring, I pressed and held the power button for 7 seconds, then released, Within seconds, the rebooting stopped, and the display and Gear Fit Manager both revealed they were being paired. I hope this works for someone because I think this may be a common issue, and I am not aware anyone has determined what initiates it.

Thank you this worked in my case.

Samsung support does not work when you buy a device in one conutry and travel to ther. My Gear Fit was bought in Sweden and I live in Bolivia nether Sweden nor Bolivia wanted to help really

That also worked for me. Up and running now.
The thing that worked was using Odin 3.10.6 and downloading the AP file only.
