New watch, new S4

Keep trying to set up the watch, get as far as pairing it to my phone and Ok'ing the pair on both the phone and the watch......I have both Bluetooth and NFC on and it circles for about 20 seconds and then disconnects. I have a full battery.
I can't get it to do any more than this.

Any ideas please?

Im an *****..........LOL...........I got it working. Apparently I had to hold the phone over the little thingy that snaps around the phone which I was doing but i had it upside down. Once I figured that out, it began to download software and all is well.

The instructions for this watch, at least as far as the initial set up goes, is a bit poor.
So if anyone else has this same problem, this is all that you need to do first.

I just assumed it was a matter of pairing it as i would so a bluetooth ear piece, but not so

Glad you got it working. How hard would it be to have included that little tidbit of info in the instructions??? lol

Glad you got your to work. Not so good for me so far. NFC is turned on (Galaxy S4) so is S Beam (should this be on?). Bluetooth on my phone is one and I confirm the code when it comes up on my phone and Gear. I hold the phone over the cradle and it seems to start connecting but then over and over again says it's disconnected. Very frustrating!

Now what?

Well first of all..I'm not sure why everyone is talking about NFC, you only need bluetooth on for the gear to function...you should be able to connect the gear just like bluetooth headphones then through the gear manager finish the setup process
