So I've been using a Samsung Galaxy Indulge 4G for about 8 months now. I thought the phone was just broken this entire time. I thoguht for sure the 4g modem was defective or destroyed somehow. The phone was pretty slow with apps and most internet based apps forced closed a lot, i guess because of the terrible internet speeds on 1x. I only kept it because i really like the slide out keyboard on it. The battery life was pretty good considering there was no 4g. I went to bed last night and plugged in my phone and didn't have it connected to wifi and turned off data to limit notifications from waking me up. When i did wake up this morning my phone was connected to 4g and was running extremely smooth. Nothing has force closed so far today. i thought i was dreaming, literally. I had a game called shadowgun from when i had a droid incredible 2 that before ran horribly slow on my indulge. Now that is running like an Xbox would run it haha. I'm not complaining (other than how quickly my battery drains with 4g on) but just am curious why out of no where 8 months later it gets 4g? i called Metro PCS to ask if there was an update released that would have installed by itself and all 3 of the reps i talked to said no, they don't support updates on the indulge anymore. Anybody have any idea? the phone also used to have terrible wifi range reception. i would be in the room next to my wifi router and have 1 bar of wifi signal. and if i had wifi on and turned it off, i would have to restart the phone to be able to turn wifi back on at a later time. it was pretty annoying. now i can sit about 30 feet away from the rout outside of my house and have 2 bars of wifi. This phone has seemingly magically transformed over night and is now a really nice phone somehow? Any thoughts about this strange event? I'm going to order a 3600mah battery tomorrow in hopes that the batter lasts more than and hour with 4g on and doesn't die while charging since it's rather annoying to turn off and off 4g manually. espcially since anycut disappeard from the play store.
