Galaxy Nexus in-store demo unit display

I went to my vzw store today (I went because my source there called me last night and said he was, at that moment, putting a demo nexus out on display). I walked in and found it and I played with it. I have to say, the screen was AMAZING! It was right next to a rezound and it made the rezound screen ugly by comparison. Sorry guys, but it's the truth. Even the store associate agreed that it made the rezound screen look meh. Also, it is sooo much lighter and thinner than the blog pics lead us to believe. I didn't imagine the GSM version being that light and thin, let alone the LTE version. I suggest you guys check out your vzw store and see if they have displayed a demo unit. This phone is great guys, you will not be disappointed. I'm going to go back in there after work for round 2 of playing around with it.

I called them today and asked if it was on sale today (I knew it wasn't). The lady told me it's been pushed back to next Thursday. I asked if it was official and she said "As far as we know it is"

I took a few pics as well..they have them behind the counter. All you need to do is ask. They were actually setting up displays for them when I went in yesterday.

Went to store in Matteson, IL and they had a demo there to. The phone feels great in hand, which was one of my main concerns, doesn't feel that big at all, and im currently using the fruit. The guy there said the phone should have been out and for what its worth he's saying the hold up has something to do with Google Wallet, hmmmm...Anyhow didn't know when they were gonna give them the good ahead to sell it, but he says the phone has been ready to go for some time.

I think the Wallet thing is just speculation on his part. I frankly don't think anyone but VZW knows.

bloody hell. I went to the verizon store in baltimore. they had them, but said they aren't allowed to open one for a demo. so annoying

Now I know this is the phone that I want. I was thinking about getting the RazR. But after playing with the Nexus tonight I know I want this phone. It feels comfortable in your hand more comfortable then the RazR. Who ever said that it has a cheap feel!!! I say WRONG!!!! The phone felt great and felt better to me then the RazR in my hand. The speaker sounded loud to me. It was so fast and very smooth. Took great pictures in the Store. The Videos were awesome on the phone!!! This is a Great Phone!!! My store Local store has 10 of them and my friend will put one to the side for me. With the Discount I have for being a State employee, discount for upgrading, and finally the discount card I got in the mail. I will save $160.00 on the Nexus!!! I can't wait for the release.
