same here, the Bionic is so fast would someone really notice the difference in the 1.2 ghz, the only thing I see in the nexus is the bigger screen size which is nice. Other then that...its not a big deal

I agree. I was also pretty impressed that our Bionics already have some of the new ICS features announced in one form or another.

I only care about that screen, that thing is awesome. Big and beautiful. But there are missing hardware features. No micro sd card slot, hdmi out, I don't like the onscreen buttons, I don't like the headphone jack on the bottom...etc. I really only care about that software, its awesome. I can't wait to get me some ice cream sandwich.

That's the HSPA+ specs. The LTE versions will be "a little" thicker; I imagine it may be a little heavier as well.

This is a lot longer than the Bionic, BTW - a third of an inch longer.

Tbh I thought there might be a good chance I'd be itching to sell my Bionic for the nexus but now not so sure. The lack of hdmi out and micro sd slot are defiintely turn offs. I believe I stated in another thread a few weeks ago that if all the features were at least on par with the bionic with a few nice sounding upgrades, I personally am just real interested in having a nexus device. Getting all the latest updates right off the bat without having to wait is something that appeals to me as well as knowing its a device for which developers are going to be doing a LOT of work. I don't knock the bionic, love it very much in fact, but those few concepts just personally appeal to me a lot.

So anyway the key was feeling that the nexus would have to be at least on par with certain bionic features, and its definitely missing a few. Also I love the bionic screen and don't have any need for the samoled plus hd yadda yadda jargon whatever... even though I'm sure it will have a beautiful screen, IMO the phone I have now has a beautiful screen, without all the flashy terms, lol. I'll see how reviews on the nexus are regarding antenna quality and battery life... 2 things that are going to be TOUGH to beat my bionic on. In the end I'll probably stick with the bionic.

The only thing the Nexus has that I want is the camera.

Agreed - if its actually a ZERO lag as advertised this would be the KILLER feature IMO. At current my Iphone 4 camera is the quickest phone camera that I own -- my TB is good but not in the same category as the Iphone 4's.

I also like the Face Recognition UNLOCK feature -- but I have serious doubts that it will actual work in the real world. As we saw during the demo GOOGLE could not even get it to work.

Oh - I also like the larger size screen -- will be interested to see it in person.

...No micro sd card slot...
Really? I must have missed this. Now I really have no interest in the hardware. I mainly watched the announcement to check out ICS. I really hope this isn't the direction Android is going. One of the reasons I chose an Android phone over iOS and WP7 was because I'm able to expand the storage as I need with a removable SD.

When he was about to try it out in the presentation, i told my wife "watch this, I bet it doesnt even work" lol.

Facial recognition is there just to say they have it, even when it does work by the time it takes to recognize your face you could have just key unlocked it.

I think a lot of you are just in denial that a better phone was released over the Bionic. Ok, no HDMI out, but not a big deal. We're talking about true Super AMOLED 720p display, qHD can't even touch that and neither can Retina. It's the Google Experience phone, which means you don't need to root your phone to get rid of bloatware. It has NFC!!! And that is HUGE!!!! NFC has so many applications to go along with it that it surprises me the the bionic and razr both passed up on them. It already comes pre-loaded with ICS, which means you don't have to wait months on the Bionic.

Don't get me wrong, I love my bionic, but you have to be delusional to think that the Galaxy Nexus is not better than the bionic.

Nice knowing you, SeigaGen. You're about to get attacked in a hard way.

^ lol. im sure he will, not by me though. Everybody is entitled to their opinion but SeigaGen I would hardly consider being unimpressed with the Nexus specs being in denial. I am truly not envious of this device, I thought i would be...im just not. Im not saying its not a great device, just not for me.....dont be so defensive, you act like you made the phone yourself.

If i wanted to I could get the Nexus, you see i upgraded to a Bionic on release day. My wife has been holding out to see what the Nexus and RAZR had to offer. She was also not impressed and has decided she wants a Bionic, she said she would take my Bionic if I want the Nexus device....I said no thanks.
