is there a way to create an empty folder to my galaxy nexus desktop and then change the dolphin hd download directory path to said folder? this would be so much easier to access my downloads on the fly, thanks!

From the People app - When editing a joined/merged contacts, how can the name that is displayed be determined? I have a joined/merged contact... one from Google and one from Verizon's Backup Assistant. The contacts are for the same person, but the names are different. Aside from physically changing the name, is there a way to choose which name is displayed?

Try going to google.com/contacts and see if you can edit them from there. I remember being able to add nicknames some months back.

Minor tip and not sure if it's already been mentioned but you can change the phone's battery without shutting it down if you plug it into a charger. That doesn't work with all phones so it's nice to see it works with this one.

Ex File Explorer will allow you to long press on the folder and create a shortcut for it.

I am a user who switched from the Droid X to the Galaxy Nexus and I am having a ton of issues moving my pictures over to the new phone. I connected the Droid X to my computer using a micro USB cable and created a folder on my desktop to place them in. I have approximately 500 pictures and this was successful. When I connect the GN to the pc and it is in the MTP mode I am trying to drag and drop the pictures into either the DCIM --> Camera folder or the pictures folder and it is timing out without any movement. The folders shows as not responding.

I really don't want to use the cloud by moving all the pictures to Google+ for syncing with my phone but don't know why it is not working.... Does the difference of the Droid X (using an 8mp camera) and the GN (using a 5mp camera) create a conflict?

Verizon is really not helping and they have reached out to Samsung 2x and they have not been much help either. Hopefully the members of this forum can provide a solution.
