If (and it's a big if) the GN2 comes to the US with 3 storage capacities the $199, $299, $399 prices are probably what we'll get. However, I kinda doubt that it'll happen. I'm thinking we'll only get a 16gb and 32gb option and they'll be priced at $249 and $349. Don't know but it's just a hunch. Simply because of the marketing and hype surrounding this phone I am sure that Sammy is thinking that they'll be able to sell the phone at premium prices. Think about it. There is a good chance this'll be the first quad-core phone available from the carriers in the United States. Plus, Sammy is expecting to sell 20 million of these.

My guess:

16GB @ $249
32GB @ $299
64GB @ $379-$399

I'm hoping, anyway. For me, personally, there just isn't the budget for a $300 device. I don't use a tablet because I can't justify the expense on top of all of my desktop PC upgrades (i'm kind of a tech geek). $300 for ANOTHER tech device is just going too far, I think. For my needs, that is. Yes,I'm only talking about a $50 difference. But the main difference is I can talk myself into a $50 bump over budget vs a $100 bump over budget. An extra 25% is one thing. An extra 50% is another. If it stays in that 250 range, I can probably stretch my budget up. If it is 300, then I'm s.o.l.

Please pardon my ignorance, but is it certain that USA carriers will have the 32 and 64 GB versions? I've read only about the 16 GB version in the USA but I don't know if that means it's the only one to be available here.

It will all depend on carrier as to availability and price.

If at&t wants to offer a 32GB and 64GB model, I am sure they will. Maybe T-Mobile gets 16GB and 32GB, we won't know for another few weeks, or whenever the leaks surface.

As I have stated before, the Wacom digitizer alone on this device justifies the $300 price tag. As long as you are someone who would use it on a regular basis. I mean, I have the Note 10 and never thought twice about the $500 price.

Note2 or Note10, that is the question

There's no way the N2 can be 199 on contract simply because it has too many features over the GS3, and that's already 199 with contract. The Note was 299 with contract when it was released, and I'd assume the N2 would be the same. There's an outside chance it could be 249, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Nothing at all. When I bought the original Note that is exactly what I did. I never used all of the space, but I know some will, and that is why they make 64GB sd cards.

Note2 or Note10, that is the question

i already have the note 10.1 but will also get the note 2.

That's exactly what I'm going to do, but some people download a ton of games and those apps can take up a lot of internal storage.

I'm am def excited for the note 2! Especially since vzw is giving me an extra $50 for the upgrade.

I honestly don't give a damn what the price is, I will be at the store with my tent and starbucks just waiting for the doors to open...wait I'm at the wrong forum..But I will still be getting this on day 1.

Sprint announced today they will begin selling it on October 25 for $299. They made no mention of internal memory size. I'd say its pretty safe to say all carriers will probably be near the $299 price point.

However 16GB of new Iphone5 is only $199.
Yes it has bigger screen and all but compare to Iphone it seems too expensive.
So I really do hope they will lower the price on the Note 2

too expensive? no, no, no! You're getting 10 times the features at not even twice the price... Thats a great deal any way u slice it :-*

"However 16GB of new Iphone5 is only $199."

Well, yes and no. An 16gig iPhone 5 is just that. No SD slot for additional memory. A lot of people's data are cloud based now, but I frequently travel in remote areas and I have a lot of content (music and podcasts) stored on my phone. Apps are getting larger and taking up more memory. If you are using the camera in high megapixel mode and HD video, that memory will be used up quickly.

It just depends on your needs. I have a 32gig I phone that is 3/4 full. So any phone that offers the flexibility of memory expansion is attractive to me.
