Ok. I guess I got lost in your post when you asked why they couldn’t put the better camera I the smaller model.
Honestly it sounds like the S20+ would be the better choice for her. Size of her Note probably. Same battery size as upcoming Note 20+ so should have comparable battery life. Only reason I’d see staying Note is the pen if she uses it a lot.
Note 9 not really that old and obsolete staying current with OS upgrade. I’d wait for then S21 in your case.

Lol, that's cool... and very true. I admire her loyalty to the Note. The Note is my first Samsung and even though I could've have seem myself go S20 and rarely use the pen, I'm glad I waited and I'll be glad if the with the Note 20+ if most of the current rumors pan out.

When Best Buy had the Samsung people in.
I setup classes for her , that was a hour.
They was free.
She works in finance.
She utilizes the heck out of the pen.
She has everything setup in the calendar .
Its her 1st. Note.
She fell in love with it.
I don't want to take that feeling away from her.

I want to buy her a 2 fer.

Faster memory.

I have an S10+ and plan on switching to the Note 20+/Ultra when it comes out. My husband has had a Note series for the last 5 years and he loves it. I really want to get the S Pen. Pretty excited for this to come out in a couple of months.

I'm not getting the 20+. Just got my 10+ Good for another couple of versions now. Yes, I will read the threads here for a while then go back to enjoying a damned good phone until it is time for me to change again. Samsung have gone vertical/horizontal on their cameral layout almost every other release, maybe they will go left/right on buttons and pen for a while.
Basically though I won't buy it becaause the one I have is fantastic and until that is no longer the case I do not need a new phone.
The only thing I will regret not holding out for is the increased optical zoom. Digital zoom be damned.
No hemming and hawing for me. Solid No! The 10+ is a solid phone I can see lasting me a good few years yet.
I'm getting the Note 20/20+ and you know you all are too. This posturing and hemming and hawing over minor things that we aren't sure are reality isn't going to stop most of you so just stop fronting and start saving that cash.You will like those rings around the camera and you will learn to enjoy the 4500ma battery, just like you'll accept the S-Pen being on the left side.
Then after you get your Note 20/20+ you will endure the daily threads here asking each other how is your battery life and countless screen captures of people who haven't needed to plug in their charger for 43 hours. It's all destiny I tell you!
Now... are they really not having that 100x zoom and getting rid of the ToF sensor? LOL

If it were me and I owned a 10+... Just like when owning the Note 8... I pretty much never visited or posted in the Note 9 or 10 forums because was enjoying the phone so much going 9 or 10 wasn't a thought lol. Updating phones in a year just doesn't make sense unless their is some revolutionary new feature ya gotta have... or you have money to burn lol.
My coworker got the 9 and the only thing that really got my attention was the stereo speakers on the 9 cause I watch a ton of content and it would have been a better experience. Fancy in glass FPS, reverse charging and new S-Pen features... eh.
The Note 10+ was my new fallback option after being disappointed with the S20 Ultra if I were to get a phone in March. I can get it for about $600 through corp pricing which would have been less than a S20+ and think just a good a phone and that would have kept me good for another year or two.
But coming on 3 years, I'm ready for a new phone either Note 20+ or iPhone 12 Pro. After this recent Security update, my GPS/Maps issue is fixed after they broke around last update so I could actually be ok holding on a little longer. But the changes on all parts of the phone are just a big difference that I wanna play with a new phone, get it at corp pricing and probably be happy for another few years..
