Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Reviews

I worry about this. So I bought a screen protector for the camera lens. I can definitely see that being an issue.

Me too, but I worry more about catching the edge of that massive hump and cracking or splitting it. I have several cases and doubt this beautiful piece of hardware will ever be without one. Wah... I hope the clear cases look nice and minimal. SIGH

I bought 2. One spigen. One Ringke. The Ringke fusion usually looks and feels great.

I'm actually shocked that the majority of reviews I've seen on YouTube are pretty "meh" on the Ultra. A lot have said that the battery life is just average, even with the larger size. I know everyone's use cases are different, and as a lighter user, battery life *probably* won't be an issue, but it's surprising nonetheless. I've never had a Note, but I'm wondering if I should go with the 10+ instead.

Then again, I don't like the power button on the left side, and I'm actually happy that Samsung is letting users connect their phones to Windows and have the ability to use apps right from the PC. That will finally allow me to get rid of Pushbullet, which no longer works with Textra. But I guess as a basic user (voice calls, texts, streaming music, watching YouTube videos, browsing the web, Reddit and forums and occasional Scrabble play) the Note 20 Ultra should be fine.

Most YouTubers use iPhones. MKBHD didn't even bother removing his Apple Watch for his Note 20 Ultra review.

I think I have tbe Ringke also. I got an ESR with the kickstand but not sure I will keep it. I think both are super glossy and show all the fingerprints that the matte back was intended to prevent. Booo

I have the ear for my note 10+. The sides were a little loose but overall I like it. The spigen I got for the 20 has a kickstand.

MKBHD has mentioned a number of times carrying two phones and his preference for the Apple Watch so no surprises there. Many do carry both. And I believe I've hear a couple of youtubers say the same thing... "I love Android and the flexibility. But I carry the iPhone (EDIT: I'll just say I do remember him saying the cameras and video taking is always so consistently good that he can use it for making youtube videos). Flossy carries both too I believe but that's because he's a Big Dawg.

Ringke does a matte version of their clear case. I haven't tried it myself, but have one coming hopefully sooner than later with the phone arriving tomorrow.

I ordered one and it is not matte at all. Unfortunately it just looks like a clear case. 20200818_161856.jpeg

Psh I’m not holding my breath hopefully he learned his lesson with his S20 ultra review and not keep something like that only on an SD card.
Yeah when I heard that I'm like bruh are you serious

The concensus seems to be an 8/10, which makes it just above average. I guess the S20 Ultra stole some of the prestige from the Note 20. Im just concerned with the implication that the Pixel 4a, which costs $349 has the same or better camera than the Note @ $1,300. At this price I should be getting the best camera an Android phone has to offer.

Shoot, I've seen a few posts like this now. Sorry, I may end up in the same boat.
I feel totally dumb. There is a film on the back that you really have to look for. And once you peel it off, it is matte finish. I don't even understand how it's clear with the film on but matte without.

Trippy, that'll probably happen to a lot of people. Thanks for the heads up!
