Galaxy Note 3 - Case & Covers Thread

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Thanks for the pics, I had this case on my short list. It seems pretty thick..how does it feel. This may a minor nit but I think the kickstand should go the other way..when it's on the stand the volume keys are on the bottom, so if i'm watching a video I can't get to them, right?

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Just got my Spigen Slim Armour. Seems nice, and a snug fit, didn't add much bulk to the phone. Not sure how well it will protect, as I haven't had experience with it, where as I have with otterbox. Also, not sure about cooling, and if it will be an issue.

You can see my other threads and posts, concerning how long it took and their customer support issues. If it was in a store though, I would buy it. Still might go for the folio/notebook style case next.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Just ordered from T mobile site. $58 overnight shipping. Ordered on Friday from Verizon but has been back ordered from them. Screw Verizon.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I got my S-view case from Att and worked perfect first out no need to attach anything as it came assembled. This case is beautiful and feels even more like leather than the faux back cover.

Hey Chief ... when you flip the cover to the back, does it block the camera?

The case isn't very thick at all actually... it feels great in the hand while your holding the phone. As far as the kickstand i thought the exact same thing about the volume keys not being accessible when i first tried it out, then when i actually played a video i had downloaded on my phone i realized that you can actually turn the volume up while watching a video right on the screen... if you tap the screen to toggle the movie info and little time bar at the bottom there is also a little volume icon that shows where you can turn the volume up and down right on the screen.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Shopblt.com has the S-View case for $39.08/free shipping. There is a bit of a wait, because they don't appear to keep much in stock, instead, order as needed. Mine shows in stock on 10/25. I ordered a few cheaper cases to protect it in the mean time, but they're not here yet either.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Didn't read too far back in this thread but anyways, just picked up the official S View Cover from T-Mobile's website using coupon code "FALLFUN30" for 30% off plus free standard shipping on accessories. New price shown in pic.

i ordered one because of this... thanks!

I does not block the camera unless you are pushing it at an angle...lots of clear screen if you want to shoot a picture like that? But I would suggest making sure it is CLEAN before taking a picture like that or just use two hands and hold it open <<--- This

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I had one of these cases for the note 2 and returned it because it was so slick. The phone kept sliding down in my hand. Does anyone know if they've changed the texture on these. Other than that I loved the surface case with holster.

Kmac,

You can just leave the case closed and take the picture with the S-View window it is also touch sensitive, the Note 3 phone works fine without ever opening the case I only open it to use the smartphone stuff.

You have access to Time, Missed Call/Text notifications, Music Player, Camera and S-health all from the S-View window

If you flip the cover to the back you will cover up the camera it will still take a pic but the S-view window will be in the way and therefore blurry your picture up I just leave it closed.View attachment 86856

At the risk of revealing my age, the S-view reminds me of an old Creative Labs Zen MP3 player that I used to own that actually had a spinning hard drive.

Thanks as well for the deal. Saved about $20 from what I paid for the case on Sunday.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I just ordered the supcase for my note 3. I'll post back when I get it. Seems to have gotten good reviews,......

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I actually feel kind of silly. I have 3 cases on order, a Caseology case ($3.51), another case from Amazon ($4.49) a Spigen that someone posted here ($19.99) and an Incipio flip-case that I bought from AT&T. I think I'm going to return the AT&T case since it cost $40 and doesn't feel very protective. I have yet to find me a holstered case that has really caught my eye, but I do like the Seidio combo.

That was my first choice of a case on Amazon in that exact color. It looks like a good case and like you said good reviews. I may go with this case though instead. Amazon.com: SPIGEN Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Case Protective [BOUNCE] [Black] Premium Soft TPU Case for Galaxy Note III - ECO-Friendly Packaging - Black (SGP10443): Cell Phones & Accessories

Either one looks like a good Protective case. I haven't ordered a case yet, but these are my top two choices. Post back on this thread and let us know if it adds too much thickness to the Note 3. I want protection, but don't want a case that adds a lot of thickness to it.
