Galaxy Note 3 - Case & Covers Thread

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Just got the Caseology case in faux brown leather and faux black leather.....both are super nice but this Brown case is awesome. Makes me feel like Ron Burgundy and his many leather bound book's, smelling of rich mahogany. Only these smell like tpu. Paid next to nothing for these and I'm impressed.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I have had the s-view for a few days now and really like it have used it to take a few phone calls without opening the case works great, sound quality great and people I have talked with say talk quality is good too. The wireless s-view has a few more features than the non-wireless version enough to wait for it as its not much more. Unless the added width to the phone is a problem for you or your carrying method, haven't gotten the wireless yet so cant comment on how much larger it is.

Until I get a case, I purchased this for my purse...and it looks to be great for going out as well.

It only comes in the coral though so that might be a deterant for some...

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

don't think they have the s-view functions wake on open etc as the inside back which they don't show pic of has to have two contacts on it
damn its on its way I hope they do.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

My local TMobile had no cases for the phone for the first couple of weeks. When they did get a few in, they still didn't have any of the S-Views, and thought that they'd probably never get any of the Samsung Wireless Charging covers. :(

They did have in stock the Tech21 Impact Herringbone case, which I thought would work out til more cases were available. It's got two problems going for it, that have made me not like using it. First, the case covers the volume and power buttons, making them pretty hard to press. Maybe it's just my case, maybe not. I'm tempted to try to carve off the plastic covering the buttons. Also, I bought an extra AmazonBasics usb 3.0 cable. With the stock Samsung cable, I don't have to remove the case, but the AmazonBasics plugin is too large for the opening in the case. If I dropped the phone on an edge, the case would probably protect it. It doesn't have anything covering the face, however.

What I have been looking for, is something like the Book Book from 12 South, BookBook for iPhone 4/4s - BookBook for iPhone 4/4s - Twelve South but unfortunately they only make products for Apple stuff. The Book Book made it less obvious that I was carrying around a phone, gave it decent protection and let me carry cash and cards. I was able to find it at a Barnes and Noble at a sale price.

I did find something equivalent earlier this week, from Zenus. Galaxy Note 3 - Smart Phone The styles won't be for everyone, but I did find one that I liked, and they sell them through Amazon as well, which is convenient to me.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I still haven't really found a case that's appealing...so I ordered this one in the mean time. I should have it early next week.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

For those of you using the Spigen Neo Hybrid, how tacky is the back material? I've been seeing some mixed reviews saying both nice and grippy and slippery.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

My friend has the neo hybrid and it is grippy. It isn't tacky or sticky, but more like a slight texture so that it doesnt slide out of your hands. It was however far too thick for me. It takes away from the general slimness of the phone. That's why I went with this case instead. It's slim and also covers all 4 sides unlike the Spigen Air cases.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Defo not tacky.. Its rubber but good quality.. Tiz slippy tho compared to the original textured back.
Quality case tho..

The back is slippery compared to the stock back cover. It still feels good though. My phone has slipped out of my pocket twice while driving since using the case where as it never did before.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

This is the only thing I don't like about my Neo Hybrid case it is so slippery a lot more then the original back. Someone said it should get better if not will probably go back to no case.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Mixed reviews again, grippy but slippery. :) It's interesting that it's more slippery than the back cover. Mine doesn't feel too grippy, but I do have the white model note 3.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

the case itself feels pretty solid is great to hold. however i've returned this case due to the headphone cutout being too small. my headphones are wide above the tip and is too wide to fit the hole. i'm hoping the urban armor gear case is better as i had one for my note 2 and worked great.
I went online and read some reviews on Amazon. Someone posted a comment saying to install it as one piece and not two. I did it and now the outer band feels like it's on solid. I love this case now. :-)

I have it and like it a lot for $6. I can take my time finding a permanent case for my Note 3.

Do you have a dremel? I have monitor headphones, and I've had to use it on cases before. really simple though.
