Galaxy Note 3 - Case & Covers Thread

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I'm surprised anyone would consider black shiny plastic and simulated plastic chrome attractive! But once covered with the Neo Hybrid it looks very nice!

Trust me you are in the minority if you think the Note 3 is ugly.

But that being said... a lot of people like my Neo Hybrid case... it is really good looking.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I bought this for $7: Amazon.com: [Note 3] Cellto Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Case Premium Wallet Case with Screen Protector [Slim Ultra Fit] [Navy Mint] Diary Cover /w ID Pocket Top Quality for Galaxy Note 3 Note3 N9000 + 1 Premium Cellto HD Clear Screen Protector: Cell Phones

Works really well, and is super cute. Also looks and feels way better quality than $7 would belie. The magnet-spen issue is present but doesn't bother me too much for the cost because this is just a stopgap while I wait for the Note 3 Spigen Case Slim Armor View comes out (if it ever does).

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

All of you that are using cases that don't have a front cover for screen protection--aren't you worried that if you accidentally drop your phone and it lands face-down and hit any protruding surfaces (such as corners of a table or a rock or anything sitting on desk/floor), the impact will be concentrated on the glass and crack it? And if you have it in the pocket with anything that is a bit hard (such as keys or coins), they'll also rub against the screen (though the screen is supposed to be scratch resistant, and you can get screen protectors).

How is the texture... Looks slick

The one I posted above is kind of slick. It feels like the cheap rubber that toys used to be made of, back in the day. It's also a little flexible.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Have to change my review of the S-View case. It makes the camera flash completely useless. I'm going to return it.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Got my Supcase today. And I must say, I really like this case. The sides are textured rubber with a gloss trim. Very nice to hold. The back is a frost clear plastic which does not attract the typical smudges or light scratches. I've used UAG, incipio, body glove, and otter boxes. I easily like this as much as a UAG which is my favorite. 15$ on amazon. Well worth.....

Update: just found the case doesn't have a cut out for the noise cancelation mic, by the headphone jack. Drilled a hole, and now it's good to go. Contacted the seller though. See what happens.

I don't understand this. Mine works just fine with the s-view. Do you have the Samsung s-view or a knock off. My flash works just fine.

He probably has a knock off. The Samsung cover doesn't block the flash.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I know I need a case but so love how it looks without a case so I am torn but will eventually get one for when I am out.

I have the same case and it doesn't fit as well as I would like where the power and volume buttons are located. Does yours not have this problem?

Nice and flush fit on the entire phone. No issues with placement for power and volume. Little more pressure needed for volume and power buttons, but not necessarily a bad thing.

You still using yours?

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

Have you had any issues with the magnetic closure of your leather pouch being around the device? Happen to have any pictures of the Note 3 placed in your leather pouch? I'm curious how much room there is in there. :)

Thanks!

the nice thing about the neo hybrid, is that it almost looks like part of the phone.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I'm just hoping the slickness of the back of the Neo Hybrid get better.

Feel free to show me any screen protector that will save the screen if you drop it screen first onto a sharp rock. Protection against scuffing from keys... maybe. But a micron of plastic or glass is not going to help. Screen protectors are for reducing glare and/or because people like some friction. That's it.

It totally does. I had to go back into the Verizon store looking for a spare charger and the chick who waited on me showed it to another customer that was considering the N3....guy said he'd buy it if it came with this case as it makes the thing look soooo much nicer than stock.

Re: Note 3 Case Thread.

I just got this thing from Amazon and it's obvious that it cost me under $5.00. Granted, it does protect the case, but it feels real cheap.

I got one similiar to that, cost me $5.95 off Ebay, but I use two cases at all time. first it goes into this one..

Then I put it in this and this cost $5..I have spent less the $12 on cases..

I did go heavy on the screen protector. I got the Spigen Slim'R Tempered Glass for $34.95..

I have spent less the $50, and I think I could drop my Note 3 in the cases out a 2 story window, and nothing would happen..

BTW, I just up graded the $5.95 rubber case, which worked perfect, but the Spigien Bounce for $9.95 caught my eye. Same type, just prettier and cost $5 more..

I'm still using it but it bothers me a bit. It just kind of bows out around the power and volume buttons. I can see a little silver. I don't have any problems using the buttons.
