Galaxy Note 3 - is this the optical reader app + few more questions

so i didn't yet buy the phone but i am so close on collecting the price so i had some questions for anyone who got the phone :

-is this the optical reader app on samsung galaxy s4 and does it work in the same way ?

-is the unlock effect called light effect present on this phone along with the function designing a phrase that shows up on the lock screen ("Life Companion" by default on the S4)

-I know that this phone doesn't have the quick commands function from the note 2 but people say the action memo is an alternative , i wanted to ask if the action memo fully functions like the quick commands did .. I mean on the quick commands for example , you could design a certain character(s) to perform certain functions such as opening an app or turning on/off wifi and bluetooth simultaneously

- Does the Stock browser really doesn't support flash player ??

look at photo reader in the play store...i haven't tried it yet....

yes to the unlock light effect....

haven't putz with flash player yet....on the note 2 we all just side loaded the apk and it worked with the stock

i never used the quick commands.....the action memo give you choices of things to do with a scribbled note....so if you wrote and address, you could choose to add it to contacts, or look it up in maps. a phone number scribbled down could also be added to contacts or you can call directly from it. you can email from a scribbled email address....etc. pretty awesome!!

the scrapbook feature for the little bit i've been able to play with it is great!

its too fast a little glowy point of light, like a cursor follows your spen nib around.....

but from your experience does it work flawlessly or does it lag ?

also can i use it with air view without touching (makes glowing light without the swipe effect)

nope doesn't lag at all.....no i didn't add any app.....i just have the unlock screen set to swipe to unlock and this is what i got. if i enabled it somehow i didnt do it on purpose.....love it though

yes glowy effect with pen or finger without touching the screen....on the lockscreen....

many thanks my friend you answered all of my questions but i had one question that popped in my mind .. is the pen switcher function still available in the S note (it is a function where you could quickly change between various brush styles and font sizes or the eraser by pressing the S pen button once while hovering where it didn't show a small dot but rather a brush icon with the font color , so is that fumction still there or did they replace it with air command ? .. and sorry again for asking another question but i needed confirmation on a few feautres before i buy the device because I am one step away from buying it and it's my own money

no when you push the s pen button while hovering anywhere it takes you to air command....touch pen icon once to select pen function, touch it again and it opens up the pen settings just like in the old version...pen types, size, color, presets.....

one thing i do miss on the note 3 is keyboard option in the notification panel so that i could quickly switch between swiftkey and stock keyboard by pulling down notification shade....it looks like i'd have to switch keyboards before entering s note to access the handwriting keyboard in the stock keyboard, since i generally use swiftkey.....grrrrr

so many good feautres of the note 2 - even if they are small - were stripped from the note 3 , but these features were gold features and these are which distinguished the note series .. i hope they returns it in an update or we can sign a petition for this so they put it in mind
