Hi Anyone that can help me.

i purchased a Note 3 about 3 months ago and it has recently started to bootloop, not all the time just random times through the day between the loops i can use my phone as if there is nothing wrong with it, and it isnt certain things that trigger it anything does, texing, calling, playing games.

I have done some searching on the internet and all the tips like factory reset, remove SD, update the phone, remove GMAIL, none of these have fixed my problem.

Does anybody know how to help me?

Many Thanks

Laurie

Welcome to the forums.
Ha ve you tried rebooting into recovery and clearing cache? That may help. I think this method will work, follow directions for the S3: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ing-into-recovery-mode-galaxy-s2-s3-tab2.html

If clearing cache doesn't work call Verizon tech support from a landline. Have them trouble shoot. Have them troubleshoot it. If it can't be fixed they will have a replacement sent to you. But they need to try to assist you first

I would say it must be an app you have downloaded. Any new ones you have recently installed?

My note 3 just started to do random restarts as well.
I have not downloaded any new apps.
It restarts at random times, about once a day.
I hope this isn't going to be a normal thing because I love this phone.

Att gave me a new one without making me reproduce the issue under warranty. My new one hasn't done it even once despite the exact same apps and settings.

ALWAYS BACKUP.

Some troubleshooting you may want to consider:

1) Turn off always scanning in the wireless settings.
Menu > Settings > Wi-Fi > Menu > Advanced: Uncheck "Always allow scanning"

2) Problems with the sd card.
Try running your phone without the card. See if the problem persists.
May need to reformat the sd card within the phone itself.

3) Find out which app(s) are causing conflicts.
Note all the apps you have installed, go back to factory settings, and see if you can replicate the errors. If you can't get the error to show up, you'll know it is PROBABLY caused by one (or more) of the apps you installed. Install the apps a few at a time, see if the errors pop up again, and if not, after a bit of time, add another few apps. Figuring out which app(s) are having problems, may take awhile to narrow down.

Have this issue after updating to KitKat.
No app can causing this, as I installed almost none of the set I was using when on Jelly. Phone restarts sometimes 3-4 times a day.

Can anyone confirm any solution that helps? Maybe formatting SD card?

I'm experiencing this too. It happens about once a day. I hear an KitKat update due to start rolling out later this month should fix it - amongst other bugs

Since updates are never there when promised, I'm scared I'll have to wait months for a fix... that is really no option :(
Any Samsung official sources are mentioning this rebooting issue?

Mine's rebooted twice this week on its own.. Never happened before this week... Verizon, JB.. Hasn't happened since a few days ago. Thought it was odd but attributed it to either vzw or a Samsung push

Same exact thing with mine. Tried everything this thread suggested. Finally just took it back and they gave me a new one on 4.3. Ever since then everything is running smooth again. They said the note 3 and mega aren't running well on kit kat.

For me it was the whole kit kat update.

Had the same issue after updating to KitKat. After bothering the customer service for days they sent me a brand new Note 3.
My work around to avoid another bricked Note is to never update this phone.

I started this thread probably about a week and a half ago and so far I have not had any random reboots.

What helped me was to remove the case from my phone. There is mention in the thread below about a case maybe being too tight might cause problems. I don't know if too tight was the problem for sure but removing my case has so far cured my random reboot problem.

It sounds like a battery problem. Maybe the update caused the processor to choke up and the battery kept getting too hot. Either that or you may just need to replace your battery.

I returned phone to service to be flashed with no branded software. Will see next week and let you know if it helps.
