Yeah i'm new to Android, left the iPhone camp for the new Note 3. was sick of apple telling me what i wanted.
can someone show me where there is a thread for noobs on how to do all this cool stuff.
Do i need to download a launcher/changer pac before i download an icon pac? I don't know which ones are safe etc. any help would be good.

i would suggest playing around with setting up your screen from stock until you are really familiar with how it all works and then move onto a launcher. many use nova launcher. you do have to have a launcher to use icon packs....in the google play store look up icon packs and when you see one you like take a look at what launchers it works with. a good rule of thumb is to go with apps that have tons of downloads...i stay away from any that have low downloads....i also use avg mobile anti virus security app, because it has done a good job scanning apps before i download and giving me a warning if an app has problematic permissions, etc. for a newbie i think we all would suggest watching youtube tutorials and tips and tricks....you can be very specific in your search, for instance...using nova launcher - Essential Android Apps - Nova Launcher Prime - YouTube
