Galaxy Note 3 Verizon: Lollipop Update

I may have missed the following in the previous three pages:

How do I change the security level for app information that is shown on the lock screen?

I chose the "Display some" option after the upgrade completed. I don't remember the exact wording for the option that I selected, but hope thats close enough.
I checked in Display and Lockscreen options, but don't see a setting to change the information security level.

I have a few weather apps that are showing up as small widgets on the lockscreen, but it says "Content Hidden" for the widgets details. I don't have any reason to hide weather app information.

Settings > Sound and Notification > Notifications on lock screen > check whether you want to show all, hide sensitive, or don't show any notifications.

So just a few observations:

1. Weren't the folders in kit kat kinda awful? I seem to remember that being a big reason I switched to Google Now Launcher.
2. I upgraded yesterday while I was at work (over 4G LTE network) and it took maybe 30-45 for both updates to pull and install. I've had no issues other than trying to get Google Play Services updated, but that finally happened and haven't had an issue since. (but a. I don't have an SD card, and b. I did a factory reset after the update just because I'd been wanting to do one recently anyway)
3. Be creative. There are a plethora of apps, widgets, and launchers that will change the appearance of your phone. Sure, the underlying infrastructure and core functionality won't change, but it's a phone! If you're like me, you're spending too much time on it probably anyway :P
4. Yes! for smart unlock.
5. Here's a pic of my new lockscreen thanks to zooper widget pro (lost my last homescreen widget thanks to the reset). It's a work in progress... two days' worth >.< but I'm liking it!

Cool, that was it. Was still looking for the pre-Lollipop settings. Not sure yet if I like the three setting options. Ideally there would be more granular control over what is sensitive or not. But, cool to see some options on the lock screen.

It sounds like you did a reset before downloading the update, rather than after installing. Was that recommended to you.

No, did the reset after installing update. Once I got it wanted a fresh unencumbered install. Minimize any potential issues with old files or junk left behind from previous version. May not be full proof but doesn't hurt! :)

Is there another way to get to Settings in lollipop aside from the app itself? When in the Touch Wiz it's gone from the left button. I have to have Nova Launcher set to get to System Settings from the left button.

I know on stock touch wiz with the android lollipop update you swipe down for the notication bar it's up on the left with the settings logo .....

Re: Lollipop is here...according to Verizon

Usually the user is the one who grouped the apps together in the first place. The folders make this phone look ugly and cheap as hell.... It's almost like the Google team who put this together just threw a bunch of **** together quick and said that's good enough...

"samsung team" the nexus phones folders dont look anything like this, i switched to nova launcher a while ago you can choose the look of the folders from a list of options

Actually, you can change the color of the LP folders. It might not be enough of change to make them beautful, but you can use the colors to color code the type of the content within. Say green for games, grey for gps and map utilities, red for movies, etc.

Anyone else's signal significantly worse? My phone is constantly dropping to 1X now and it never comes back to 3G or 4G without enabling/disabling airplane mode. I factory reset after the update. My signal didn't used to be good on KitKat but it would at least stay in 3G at the worst.

I love the look of the Lollipop update but my battery life has taken a major hit. I can watch the battery percentage go down as I use the phone.

I noticed where my battery will drain slow and then all of a sudden it'll loose like 5% in 5 minutes.
