Galaxy Note 8.0 Return arrow doesn't respond when tapped...works ok using stylus.

The home button doesn't respond when pushed either. Not great using tablets....mostly been a pc windows 7 user.

Welcome to Android Central! Since the Home button is a physical button (as opposed to the capacitative Back button), I would guess that there's a hardware issue with that row of buttons. Does this persist after a reboot?

Tnx B Diddy....confirms what I suspected.....I looked on all kinds of help sites and nobody seemed to have my exact problem....a reboot doesn't help...it's off warranty and not sure what a fix would cost so will likely suffer with it the way it is.

One other thing to try is booting into Safe Mode, to see if the problem is being caused by some app you installed. I can't find specific instructions for the Note 8.0, but try the steps for the Note II: Safe mode, galaxy note II, n7100, gt-n7100,GT-N7100TADXSG
