Galaxy note Car mounts - cup holder or floor mount

Good luck. The seat belt ones look too big and obviously wouldn't fit. Cup holders look good. Wish I had one by my center console, not behind me and on my dash ha.

Your best bet is the cup holder IMO. Just see if the metal necks they use(bendable part) are strong. I bought a cigarette charger/holder for the GS2....just kept on falling/bending downwards. Cheap crap.

Best buy is always a windshield suction cup mount. Def the strongest I have seen and decently priced.

I wasted money on a $24.00 Skiva Strong Mount which is a piece of junk. Sending it back.

None of the above look useful to me. My cup holders are too far back, and the seat mount has the same problem unless you can attach it somewhere other than to the seat bolt.

Anyone find a good one yet?

The cup holders in my console are just a little to narrow for the big honkin' Note.
I'd like something with a low profile that doesn't stick up much and get in the way.

I've found a simple dollar store cup that is tapered to fit in the holder but wide enough to hold the phone. But I don't like seeing it on my console it reminds me of a spit cup or something.

looking for something that I can paint and/or cut down to size.

yeah, the cup holders are two low and take away from watching the road even on my peripheral. still trying to find one on the dash or on the window mount. :-\

I have a real cheap and old suction cup window mount from amazon. I had to cut out the foam in the sides so my note will fit. It has a nice 8" neck and I stick it right on the instrument window and snake it out at about 2 o'clock next to the wheel. Only covers my battery guage. Works great for me. Window mounting would be too far to reach or in the way.

I can't go with a windshield mount as it is illegal in California. :-\

You're telling me that California has outlawed everyone with a Garmin now? There's really nothing out of bounds for extremist Left tax states...

I bought a pantech vehicle specific mount which bolts into the side of the radio. It is a flat plate with mounting holes for a cradle. I then attached an akron cradle. It is very secure and does not get in the way. It is also 100% legal.

If that doesn't work for you another thing to try is one of the beanbag mounts for gps units.
