Turn off all the location based Google now cards. It can be done in the Google now settings. Before that Google maps on my phone would keep my phone awake for 1 hour and 20 minutes on average but know it's down to about 18-20 minutes. My battery has seen a significant improvement.

I read that Jellybean 4.1.2 is released for Note 2 in South Korea for the N7100. I have the .md5 for 4.1.2 downloaded and ready to flash with Odin, but I don't know if this would be compatible with Verizon's SCH-I605. Anyone have any info?

This thread title is misleading as the update the OP is referring to is NOT 4.1.2, but just a patch for the Exynos exploit. But to answer your question, no the release for the N7100 is not compatible with the Verizon Note 2. Note the different model numbers. For Verizon, the software release should state specifically that it's for model SCH-I605.
