Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, SMP-900 will not charge

I also have had the same problem.
I have replaced the battery and charging cable and the micro USB port, factory reset the lot.
Still have the problem of intermittent charging and then it will drain power if i leave cable connected.

You need an USB current voltage meter to verify your tablet is charging.
New battery, charging cable, USB port won't solve problem if battery connector has cracked solder joints which is very common in all Samsung tablets

Try to have the battery connector resoldered, an important fix for this model regardless old or new. I already saw a Note Pro with new replaced mainboard , the battery connector cracked just after 4 months.

BEUT........ You've made it abundantly clear that the battery connector solder joints are what cause the vast majority of battery/charging/discharging problems with the Samsung tablets. If those joints were successfully re-soldered how long would it take to have those joints develop cracks in the solder again? If a given tablet has one set of cracked solder joints does it mean that individual tablet will always be prone to those cracks regardless of how many times the connector joints are re-soldered?

Great question. Given that not all tablets exhibit the same issue I would think that if done well this is a one time fix. I have had my tablet since April 2014 with no battery or charging issues to date. It's been left to charge overnight and used for a few hours or more every single day since purchase so I have little doubt that the device is durable in that sense, so if my factory solder joints can hold up then a decent repair should too.

If sufficient solders added, it won't crack again as the original mainboards have a minimum of solder done by machine. The problem is from poor design, mainboard is sit on a flexible LCD and battery connector is at the center which is the weakest point of the tablet.
Samsung is aware of this flaw but they won't change its design, probably for profit, they cannot sell new models if your tablet lasts more than 2 years.
Like American cars, they begin having problems after 100K of miles.
