galaxy note suddenly shut off and won't turn on

Bought a new battery for my Note 4 as original was 3 yrs old or so. Three months along the phone suddenly turns into a brick! Will restart only if plugged in to charger. Then 5 mins later, bricks again. Factory reset: no change. Dug out old battery, put it in and now have my phone back perfect. Ordered another new battery - hope this one works better.

Same problem. I put it on charge one night and found it dead 4am in the morning. Does not do anything except the dim red flash on one of the LEDs. I think this problem is prevalent!

It's been a common problem in android phones .if the led is blinking then its not a big issue. it happens because of fully drained battery or non-compatible charger
To solve it, just put on your phone on its compatible charger or a better quality/branded charger ,now wait for atleast 20-30 min .you'll see your phone turning on. And there is one step luckily worked for me,hold power button until led light of your phone shows then within in that time plug your charger on your android phone,if the led light stays then CONGRAGULATIONS your device will be turned on within 2-3 min.
And let it charge atleast 50%

if the problem is not from the battery or a software problem, its mostly due to a problem from the power IC in the motherboard, which must have had issues from overheating or during charging. This seem to be the most common cause of the phone suddenly turning off and not turning on again even when the battery life is not dead . The solution is to change the power IC
