Just a question about the picture-taking quality of the new Galaxy S phones. I take a lot of pics(some in low light) with my BB,which has a flash. I've read that Samsung makes excellent camera software for their phones. Will Samsung's "low light" sensor setting be able to make up for not having a flash?

I guess we'll find out tonight when the people who bought the T-Mobile ones come home taking pics or video in the dark. I'm holding out for the Epic, which does have a flash, and is on Sprint with the extra G and the WiFi's.

Actually unless you are in a really dark area it works really well. I tend to stay away from the flash on phones unless I really need it because it always washes the picture out.

Low light setting keeps the aperture open a tad longer and increases the sensitivity to light. Flash actually provides light, so you cannot replace that with software.

It takes brighter pictures but extremely grainy in my testing. 2 pics of with lights and without lights.
