Re: Galaxy S3 battery died, now won't charge and wont turn on!!! HELP!
An old thread.....but it appears to be "alive"....more than I can say for my charging capability.
Here's MY scenario, which I can't seem to see anyone else having:
When my battery dies in my phone (any one of my THREE NEW batteries, two Ravpowers and a Samsung OEM) and this almost always happens in an "overnight" situation...I always have trouble getting it to start charging the next day.
I don't think it's my batteries, because they'll charge just fine at any time, in any OTHER phone, from any state of discharge, with any cable.
1. Sometimes I've left it alone for 12 hours, and nothing has happened; still dead...with the red light still on next morning.
2. Often times I'll wake up and see the GREEN light on, and when I hit the Power button on the phone, I momentarily see the full-sized, all-green battery icon...with 100% showing in the middle of it. Then, suddenly, the green battery disappears and the display goes back to the "greyed-out" battery icon and then to the "fuel gage" battery icon...with the slimmest of green charge-lines at the very bottom, indicating NO CHARGE.
3. Other times, but far less often, I'll wake up the next day and, whaddayaknow........it's actually charged. (this is rare).
In cases number 1 and 2, I can take that battery out of my phone and re-insert it in my own phone, and for some strange reason, it will begin to actually charge, the way it SHOULD, and is fully charged within 2 to 3 hours.
Other times, I pull it, put it back in, and NOTHING happens.
However EVERY time I take that dead battery out of MY phone....and put it into my WIFE's Galaxy S3, it charges IMMEDIATELY and normally and is up to 100% in a few hours.
Thoughts?
