Galaxy S10e vs. Pixel 3 - battery life, photography experience, and processing speed?

I'm thinking of switching from a Pixel 3a to a Galaxy S10e. I am used to the Galaxy brand (it's what I've used for years), and while photography is extremely important to me I am finding the Pixel 3a a bit too restrictive. I have 3 questions:

If I shoot in 16:9 mode (so I don't have to crop later), does the camera UI obscure the viewfinder, or is it mostly transparent (as in the case of my old S6)?

Is the processing speed for each photo pretty fast? It's a little slow on the Pixel 3a.

How is the battery life? I really don't want a downgrade in battery longevity.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate your insights!

While I’m not too sure about 16:9 photo shooting, I can tell you that the S10e’s processing speed is faster than on the 3a...due to a combination of the 3a having a mid-range processor (SD 670) and no PVC while the S10e has a flagship processor (SD 855/EX 9820) and relies less on photo processing than Google (e.g Night Sight software vs Dual Aperture hardware).

In terms of battery life, the S10e should offer all day battery life, but for not much longer than a day’s usage (slightly better than the S8/9 due to more efficient processor and slightly bigger battery)...although power users might need a charge in the late evening.

Specs: 3a - 3000mAh battery - SD 670 - 5.6 inch OLED screen FHD

S10e - 3100mAh battery - SD 855/EX 9820 - 5.8 inch sAMOLED screen FHD

Hope that helps!
