Galaxy S20+: Live focus takes ages

I've got the Galaxy S20+ and from day 1 I've thought the Live focus takes forever to be able to take photos. This is particularly bad in close-up mode but less so in the other mode (can't remember the exact names but hopefully this is clear). Have other users experienced this and have some workaround to make it faster?

One thing that might be the problem is that if I take photos of my children and they're not facing me but to the side, the camera struggles of course to find faces and that might slow it down but any ideas on how to fix this or if people know if newer phones are better at this would be appreciated!

I've heard users with s20Ultra with issues focus, have you tried to reset the camera or single take ?

It's why you have to move in the s20 camera line up with a disaster
